All About The WoMn Clinic

What exactly is The WoMn Clinic?

It is a micro practice that serves women with menopause, perimenopause, PCOS and obesity or overweight. A micro practice is a medical practice with one physician. This set up is different than what you experience in corporate medicine with a large staff that can include front desk, lab, nurses and other physicians and providers.

Why would someone choose a micro practice?

Someone who is looking for a more personalized and in-depth approach from their doctor will choose this model. In this model at The WoMn Clinic, we are not restricted by a large organization or by health insurance and have more freedom to spend time with you. This model is for someone who is seeking a meaningful relationship with their physician as a partner to their health.

This practice is also smaller than a traditional corporate medicine practice. The target number of patients in this clinic will be one-tenth of the number of patients in a traditional practice.

Why don’t you take insurance?

Insurance providers do not support wellness and do not support the success of medical practices. They increase the cost of running a practice with claim denials and having to go back and forth to be reimbursed for taking care of patients. This low reimbursement creates a scenario where physicians have to see many patients in a limited amount of time which reduces the quality of patient care. Not taking insurance also allows for price transparency. There will be no surprise bills 9 months after your visit. You will also find the overall cost to be less than what you pay out of pocket with insurance coverage. At The WoMn Clinic HSA and FSA forms of payment are accepted as forms of payment. If you choose to pursue insurance reimbursement, a super bill will be provided. Patients are also welcome to pay with a credit card.

What are all these letters after your name?

MD: medical doctor otherwise known as physician. Proud wolverine. Go Blue!

FACOG: Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist.

DABOM: Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Board certified in Obesity Medicine. I’m especially proud of this one because I was 28 weeks pregnant when I took this 5-hour test.

MSCP: Menopause Society Certified Provider. So many people are jumping on the menopause bandwagon now that menopause is having a moment. I chose to get certified to signal my competence in menopause care. My additional training in bioidentical hormones has spanned my entire career as an Ob/Gyn.

How much does it cost to be seen here?

It depends on what you want to be seen for and how you want to be seen. If you are coming in for a one-time visit or plan to just pay per visit then the fee is as described on the scheduling page.

If you are interested in medical weight loss, the initial fee supports the length of the visit and screening labs. Subsequent visits include medication management, nutrition planning, wellness coaching and body composition analysis. The price per visit is less than what some patients pay at a corporate medicine Obesity Medicine program. I am pursuing coaching certification from Wellcoaches to help my patients incorporate sustainable lifestyle changes that outlive our relationship together.

For women who are new to hormones and are seeking to optimize their hormones via a holistic approach, there is a 4-month program which covers in-depth visits, basic hormonal laboratory analysis, health promoting supplements and visits and messaging with Dr. Enadeghe. After the 4 months patients can choose to join the WoMn Clinic as a member to gain the benefits of included periodical laboratory analysis, provider-discounts on supplements, compounded bioidentical hormones delivered to their home, and visits and messaging with Dr. Enadeghe.

For women who have a need to optimize their hormone and are also seeking to improve their health in other areas including weight loss, there is a higher level 4-month program that seeks to optimize their health in a comprehensive fashion. This will involve advanced laboratory testing and include metabolic health modalities of body composition and nutritional planning. Optimizing gut, thyroid, adrenal, and cardiovascular are also central to this approach. After the 4 months women can choose to join the membership program to continue the health gains.

What else may I want to know about The WoMn Clinic?

I have worked hard to create an efficient and patient-friendly practice. Here the patient portal integrates with your fitness apps and you can capture health data seamlessly. Via the patient app and portal, you can see your laboratory results, schedule appointments, get nutritional planning with recipes and a grocery list, and get access to discounted reputable supplements from Fullscript. The patient portal also features wellness programs that will be offered to all patients of the practice that are in a program or membership. If you become a patient, you have direct access to your physician without barriers.

I only use bioidentical hormones to treat menopause and perimenopause. For Obesity, there are off-label safe medications besides the expensive ones that are available as well. The new generation of medications are life-changing but they are not the only route to achieving weight loss. For PCOS the approach is comprehensive depending on where you are. If you are desiring fertility, the approach will be different than someone who is not. I use conventional and new-age approaches to optimize your hormones and improve your metabolic health.

It is important to note however that The WoMn Clinic does not provide general gynecological care. As the practice grows, additional services and procedures may be added based on the needs of the patients in the practice.

What would be the next step?

I am happy to have you join! The process will start with a discovery call to ensure a mutual fit. At the discovery call, program pricing information will be shared and you will have all the information you need to make a decision. The program chosen will depend on your needs and health goals.

I look forward to joining you on this journey.
